Kteck Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 So currently we have all of our verification processes for our wireless network through PacketFence. But what we are running into is that if people change their password in Active Directory we are having a lot of people being locked out. With PacketFence the problem specifically comes from Tablet type devices and alike (Andriod Phones, iPhone, iPads, etc.). Because when they try to log into the network with the saved password on the device after changing the password in the system it locks them out after 3 attempts for 30 minutes per our rules in Active Directory. I was wondering if anyone knew of anyway to change this from happening so that it would not lock their account in Active Directory when the saved password tries and fails. We are brainstorming any ideas currently. So if anyone has any ideas that would be great. Essentially we are not sure what to do or where to go from here because the system runs flawlessly except for this part. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
houssem Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 @Kteck hi did you configure packetfence for dynamic vlan assignment
Kteck Posted March 23, 2016 Author Posted March 23, 2016 @houssem I do not believe we do. Just to make sure where can I check that? I am new to the Networking Department here at the college and PacketFence I am not completely sure on the settings. Thank you for the reply and help!
