ConfigurationUtilityKit.error 0x26E when installing backup to iPad with Configurator2

Using Configurator2 to apply a Blueprint that includes a Backup of a master iPad, I'm getting [ConfigurationUtilityKit.error - 0x26E (622)] The Blueprint is fairly basic, has 13 apps and doesn't include any profiles. The error comes up during "transferring placeholder" for apps. Explanations, suggestions & solutions welcomed!

Try less apps (5 or 6) and see if that works.

 

Configurator 2 doesn't seem to like deploying lots of apps at once.
