JScott Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Hi all, Anyone applied this fix from VMware yet? I am just curious what it shows up as when installed. We have downloaded all available updates for v6 but I cannot see this fix mentioned. ESXi's been borking VM backup and there's no fix yet • The Register Jim
JScott Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Found it, it was in the update list. Sorry, could not see the wood for the trees. Anyone else patched this one already? Jim
mdmd Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Ive patched all our blades with it and it works fine. However, you must Reset all CBT data for every VM in order for this fix to work, otherwise it wont fix the issue. Theres a handy script i can link you can run to do it all without powering down VMs. You have to do it in CLI though Thanks
JScott Posted December 7, 2015 Author Posted December 7, 2015 How did you reset it? any instruction would be appreciated. How do you know if its worked? Jim
mdmd Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Are you using Veeam to backup? Script can be found in the "alternative" method below ResetCBT.ps1: https://www.veeam.com/kb1113 USe powerCLI, login to a host, run script, list all the VMs you want to reset and it takes care of the rest and gives confirmation when done.
