Toshiba R50 losing WiFi

We have 2 Toshiba Satellite Pro R50s that keep dropping their WiFii connection. Resetting the card doesn't help but at some=point the card will start working again. They are Windows 7 and have the most upto date network drivers. Any ideas?

Have you tried disabling the feature to allow power management to switch the cards off? We had an issue with some of our Toshiba's a few years ago (different model)

I had a similar issue with an R50-B laptop a few months ago, hvae you tried setting the power consumption to Maximum Performance?

Also if you block screen brightness changes for ordinary users, then you also want to stop the screen dimming with them, as I've noticed that they don't always pick back up again until they are restarted...
