Win 10 Education Restrictions

Has anybody noticed some weird things about Win10 Education.

 

I've installed it on a few machines using the ISO from the VLSC. During setup then choosing to join it to a domain later.

 

When it finished setting up, I added software etc. Then I noticed the task manager was disabled, plus the ctrl+alt+del security screen had nothing on it, not even the option to log out.

 

Both of these had to be enabled via gpedit on the local machine.

 

I think it's a bit odd as its every install.

 

Is it a built in design limitation 'forcing' people to join it to a domain to allow it to work as it should?

 

I thought it was available for student devices at home, but the only two real setup options are to join an Azure Domain or a normal Windows domain 'later'. I don't have an Azure domain and I'm not giving every student a DC to take home :-)
