Staff who are also parents in firefly using sims

Hi folks,

 

Have any of you who are using cloud based firefly and sims had any issues with separating staff that are parents so the the staff member can access staff parts of firefly and as a parent access the parent portal side of firefly?

 

The obvious answer would be to have two separate cloud logins but sims doesn't allow you to have two separate records if you are a parent and employee, they are linked together.

 

How have you overcome this?

Yes i have.

 

You need to have at a work email and a home email.

 

If you set all staff emails to work and primary.

 

At all parents emails to home and main.

 

Then in the settings file somewhere you can set it to sync staff from primary and parents from main.

 

Firefly support should be able to help.

Ok great, thanks, I though it might be something similar as firefly suggested that it would only work with separate parent account and separate staff/employee account, but sims keeps them as a single record no separation.

I had this exact same argument with them. But managed to find a way round.
