tj2419 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Hi Just about to start setting up our BYOD network and wondered how most do it. From what I can see with ruckus you em an either allow students (we will only be offering it to sixth form) to log in with ad credentials and download a config, issue a guest pass. Which way do you use? Are there any things you would say avoid? As for vlanning (I have no experience which will be evident) do you all vlan off your BYOD traffic? If so do I tag or untag the ports? Do I only need to tag/untag the wireless ap ports or all? We have HP switches if that makes any difference. Thanks
FN-GM Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 We use smoothwall Radius. We have a totally separate VLAN from for the BYOD, traffic on that VLAN is not rotatable with the production network. Port tagging i don't know how it works with HP, i am a Cisco person myself.
