Has anyone deployed Office 2016 for Mac and can advise on customisation, currently every user who logs on is asked to 'activate Office' using their 365 account, then there's the usual update frequency prompts.

Any advice on plists or customising the app or something? Is there a standalone version I can install that doesn't rely on an office 365 account (although we do use 365)..?

Thanks

If you have the Enterprise "Standard Volume" version you are not required to log into Office 365. You will get the sign in window the first time each application is launched. You can choose the skip option to bypass this. If you have multiple users logging into a computer you can create a default user profile that has office already setup. The users will not get the message to sign into Office 365. The programs will open up like past versions of Office.

If you've installed the Office 365 version then yes there is no way to get around the login. The Office 365 version is meant for users with accounts, not enterprise or mass deployment.

Thanks, I haven't installed anything yet.

Is the standard volume version on the volume licensing site yet? I assume it will appear at some point?
