The beauty is you can let the staff configure it - its that easy.

Alternatively you can create a user for each department and then give teachers edit permissions at the folder level.

so yearly create a folde-r called yea 7-2015 share will students

Seems a bit messy with 250 users per year level

just copy the existing shares, delete the originals and then share via Classroom.

If you share to "anyone in domain with the link" you don't need to do it on the group level and you can share the link to the document via classroom.
