Best way to setup thin client

Afternoon,

 

Looking for some advice,

Got no money to spend on this but have some machines that we want to basicly use as thin clients

 

Am able to setup RDS

 

installed Windows thin pc on one of these machines and configured it to auto login and open up the configured rdp file

However don't like that it still has the previous username and also you have the ability to save credentials.

 

Has anyone managed to remove them options and also looking for some advice on what you guys have done / used??

You can use GPO to remove the ability to save credentials and such?

 

(that's what I do on Windows Embedded)

 

Typically we supply a signed RDP file to reduce the prompts and save the thumbprint in GPO too to make the whole experience smoother.

 

Using ThinPC will give you the best multimedia performance from RemoteFX etc compared to Linux clients (this coming from a Linux guy!) though the Linux offering isn't bad.

 

From a supportability perspective if you can lock the units down, preferably disabling all ability to write to the disk completely would be what I'd do.
