Can't get v4 profile to work on 8.1 pro

Ive created a default profile and renamed it default.v4 and renamed the ntuser.dat to .man

 

I've copied it to the server profile path with other profiles.

 

Followed https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2890783 to install hot fix and regkey.

 

But still any random pupil logins in and gets the horrible setting up/installing apps screen while it creates a new profile.

 

What am I doing wrong?

I think you have to use DISM (or powershell) to strip the apps out of the windows image before you deploy it.
