Scorpio Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Hi Guys We are about to install some Promethean ActivPanel 2 65" screens and was wondering how you guys run them, so you have a dedicated PC / Laptop I was looking at small form factor PCs or even a VESA or similar tiny computer that would bolt to the back of the panel ? What do you guys have for your Touch Panel Screens? Also what brackets have you guys used along with any gas lift wall mounts, ive seen electric lifts but they are very expensive, if you guys have other options or specific makes of brackets both fixed and adjustable that would be helpful... Thanks Scorps
dhicks Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 We are about to install some Promethean ActivPanel 2 65" screens and was wondering how you guys run them, so you have a dedicated PC / Laptop I was looking at small form factor PCs or even a VESA or similar tiny computer that would bolt to the back of the panel ? We're about to install some of those, too (3 x 55" models, 1 x 65"). They take OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) PC modules (slot-in PCs that fit in a slot on the side of the screen) - it's actually a standard, you can buy a suitible PC from various manufacturers, so there is actually some competition in the market, although they are still a bit more expensive than an equivilant desktop PC with the same specification. We're buying ours from Millgate, if that's any help.
Scorpio Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Yes but the OPS computers are really expensive and also very hard to get hold of, ive seen NEC ones. On the Sahara TVs ive seen small computers on the side, something like this would be good ? Anyone any experience of these on other Panels and how to mount ? Thanks
