Super Verbose for Windows Logon

Hi,

I am wanting to diagnose what computers are doing when they are logging on/off on a really detailed level. We already have verbose mode enabled so I am aware that the computer is 'please wait for the user profile service' and that is all. This means the computer is transferring the profile over the network but there must be so much more. For example, does it compare file sizes, does it poke around in the local area of the profile etc?

 

It's certainly not a huge problem around the school, however there are the odd devices that are slow and could be sped up. We do try keep profile sizes to a minimum but even if you make it under 10mb, there is some time. We are about to upgrade the WiFi so naturally this will help.

Port mirroring and wireshark are needed. Process monitor if ran via remote can give a good record of what's going on.

Thanks I'll give it a go. I might just remote process monitor at first and see what it comes up with.
