BYOD, 1-2-1 and parental contribution schemes -

Hi

 

I have been looking at the likes of millgates edugate scheme as a way of offering devices to students to use on our BYOD network.

 

I wanted to hear from any schools that either are signed up to Edugate or run a parental contribution scheme in their school.

 

How are you finding it?

Does it work well?

Has it increased your workload?

Was there opposition from parents?

Do you offer the scheme but not have all parents signed up?

Were there any pitfalls?

 

Just generally any feedback to see if it is worth speaking to our parents.
