newpersn Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I having problems with our talktalk router. I'm wondering if the old sky router could be unlocked or rooted for it to work on our broadband.
ZeroHour Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 No I dont think it can, or well most cant I thought. Are you in a contract term with TalkTalk? if you call up you can try and blag a replacement one for free but normally they want you to agree to a minimum term.

I'm 3rd or 4th month of an 18month contract. rang them up on Thursday threatening them to leave them. they did 4 line checks and 2 came back with faults and the other 2 times clean. (this tells me there an intermittent fault on the line) They tell us to speedtest the line. (the talktalk test dosnt work. Fails to ping) and they cant continue until they get the results of the speedtest.
plexer Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 What's the exact model of the router it may be possible to flash it with a generic firmware. Ben
