Office 365 - Share a copy of a file

Good Afternoon all,

 

In OneDrive for Business, can you share / distribute a copy of a file?

 

For example, we want to share a word document with students and get them to fill it in on their own copy. Not to edit the original file.

 

The only way I can see so far is to either share with all and get them to make a copy themselves or make lots of copies of the same file and put them in their own folder and share only with the pupil you want to be able to edit.

I don't think standard you can because each persons one drive is their own. Teachers dashboard does allow you to do this so I suspect you might be able to do it with powershell
