kidpressingbuttons Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Hi, I have a suite of Dell 9020 All in one pc's which I am currently trying to rebuild- I have captured an image using WDS and when I go to deploy it I get an error saying the LAN drivers are missing from the image. I have downloaded the relevant CAB file from the dell website, extracted the files and injected them into the deployment image on wds. But still no joy! Anyone else seen this?
CraigM Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I use MDT rather than WDS, but you should be injecting those drivers into the Boot image as well, since that boots first and actually makes the connection back to your server. I know that with MDT, drivers injected into the Boot image are also transferred over into the OS, especially during a clean install. Hope this helps a bit.
teejay Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Make sure you've updated the bios to the latest release, had the same problem with a few Dells and this fixed it.
kidpressingbuttons Posted June 11, 2015 Author Posted June 11, 2015 Thanks guys- have finally found a way to sort this! The LAN drivers from the dell website do not work on the PE image- so get them direct from intel, inject and it will work. Also make sure that EUFI stacking is off.
