New Windows 10 not downloading windows updates or apps from store behing proxy

Hi,

Just testing Windows 10 build 10130. Running into problems downloading updates and apps. It shows me that I have windows updates and app udates

but when I go to download them it just sits on 0%. Our internet is behind a proxy server. Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 work fine.

Managed to resolve by editing local group policy and change the Windows update policy to only point to Microsoft store and not WSUS server. This then downloaded all the updates and installed them.

Still have an issue with Windows store apps not downloading or updating. Shows me the updates but does not download them.

Try what I posted here seems to work for some but not everyone.

 

There is a bug in builds later than 9926(I think) where BITS downloads are not using the proxy despite it being set. The above iterates through the BITS jobs and manually assigns a proxy to them.

 

It's worked for me in the last few builds.

Hi Thanks for that but did not resolve. Shows updates, shows what size there are but when it has timed out it states it is not connected to the internet. Did you have to put a username and password in?

I don't need to authenticate through our Proxy, so haven't tried it passing through username and password. The link below should show you some options to add the authentication though.
