Facility CMIS - Hiding datasets from certain users

Hi all,

First post here, just wondered if someone could offer some advice please, at our institution we have our normal timetablers and timetablers who just schedule exams, but under the "Data -> Selected Data Set" menu, the exam timetablers can view all available datasets (i.e. non exam related) for that .Mis file. This is an issue as we don't wont to expose these datasets to them.

 

I'm aware of the filter setting, but obviously users can simply amend the filter themselves.

 

I am also aware that you can hide the "Selected Data Set" dialog box from certain users/user groups altogether, but this may not be ideal for said user.

 

So can user profiles and/or user groups be configured to only view a limited set of data sets? Can the filter be locked down etc etc? Any other idea's/suggestions are welcome.
