Is there one?

We're in the middle of trying to work out how feasible a Chromebook deployment would be and how many PC's and laptops we could do away with by issuing Chromebooks to students.

ICT and Media Studies would probably still need PCs but other subject areas, that use the bookable laptops, may be able to survive with just web browser access.

One sticking point is DT. They still use 2D Design. It's what the teacher is happy with and it communicated well with our milling machine and laser cutter. Both of those are connected to a dedicated PC that opens the students 2D Design projects and cuts/mils them. Is there a viable cloud-based solution that the students could use to create their designs to then be imported into 2dDesign to then be milled etc?

Cheers,

Will
