madurham Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 When running Update and run Solus I'm getting the following error: Unable to create the temporary download directory "C:\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net\SolusRollback" for SOLUS.System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net\SolusRollback\' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, Object dirSecurityObj, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectoryHelper(String path, Boolean checkHost) at SOLUS.SOLUSBootstrap.Main() If I create the SolusRollback folder I get a similar error but for deleting the folder. Is there an account that I need to give less restrictive permission to?
madurham Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 I was logged onto the server as the wrong admin account Woops.
Ghostgame Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Don't recommend turning off UAC, especially on the server. If you right click on 'Update and Run SOLUS' and select 'Run as Administrator', get through the UAC logins, you will be able to get into SOLUS2 without the error.
