We tried Webuyanycar for our old Volvo and the price they were prepared to offer was two thirds less than the online valuation where we were totally honest about its condition. A local dealer offered and gave us the online valuation. We didn't admit to having tried to sell it to anyone else.
NokiX Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 So they offered me £95 for my iphone 5 in brand new condition yet I could get £135 from CeX. It looks like this is mainly a gimmick for Apple fans to try and persuade them to get the new devices.

Mazuma pay what they advertise generally...I've not had a reduction offer from them. As for Cex...any scratch or defect or anything and they chip as much off the offer as possible.

CEX can be brutal, I hear, about knocking down the prices for defects, especially when it comes to handsets. So they offer large but find reasons to reduce it where they need to. I've never sent my phones off to mobile recycling just because I don't trust they'd arrive there when their pre-paid packages blatantly advertise there's a phone inside. Same with the mail-order cash for gold that seemed to go the way of the dinosaur rather quickly (not that I have any gold to sell anyway) Edit: Looking at Apple's PC trade-in the specs they ask about are pitiful. "Does the machine have more, or less, than 1GB of memory" Wuut. "Is your HDD bigger or smaller than 60GB?" Who the heck has a smaller-than-60GB drive, even on a dinosaur unit? No matter what specs I put in it returns Unfortunately Dataserv has deemed that your product has no resale value lol Edited March 31, 2015 by Garacesh
