School logo behind home screen

Hi folks,

 

I want to use my school logo instead of the SIMS logo in the SIMS window when homescreen is closed. I've worked out how to do in User Options, but I want to know how to populate this setting to all SIMS clients in the school.

 

Anyone help?

If it's user options, then usually it's a per user setting which can't be controlled centrally.

Either show them, or login as them but it would mean knowing their password, or resetting it, then forcing them to take a new one.

The only other way, would be illegal, as you'd have to fiddle in the background SQL, but it's doable. It's just a field in one table of the DB.

How important is it though? What use is SIMS, when you've closed all the modules!?

Calm down Vik! Might be against Capita's T&Cs but I don't think they'll have you arrested for it

 

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to set this centrally, and I really would not mess with the SQL backend, especially not for something purely cosmetic like this. If you accidentally overwrite the wrong field in the DB, the fallout could be catastrophic.

 

Besides, how often do people sit looking at SIMS with nothing open?
