GREED Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Child Rescue Alert Charlotte Bainbridge, 14 years old, Nottingham Area. Very sad to say that this has been issued as the first National Alert using the new system. If you have not signed up to this scheme (free and you are only contacted when there is an alert, by email, text or using the app), then do it now! michael2k6 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Good shout. I've registered and also sent round the company to encourage others to do so.
AMLinington Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I think it's a great use of resource to include postal workers in the 'look out' teams as few other professions are in the position to be out and about with the general public and walking down lesser-used residential streets, although I think there are other professions that are ideally placed to be on the lookout too: Bus Drivers, Rail employees and Taxi drivers to name a few.
GREED Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 IMO, it needs to go a lot further. All public sector workers, integrate automatically with Facebook, Twitter, G+, BBX news website, Sky News Website... hell even the channels. Can anything be more important than getting the message out to everyone... and I mean 70m people! But it is getting there and will continue to improve!
