Hi,

I have been asked to look at CCTV Suppliers/Installers.

Who have you used to install your CCTV and how was their service/after care?

Thanks,

Pete

EFT Systems. The installer was a bit dim and it took AGES to find out what ports needed to be opened for external monitoring. We got there in the end though... the system seems to just work.

TYCO I&S do the monitoring I believe.

(Also HALLOOOOOOOOO!!!!)

I do mine myself. Run Coax cable myself (with 2 core power). We can't afford IP cameras, can get some really good 800TVL cameras for £30. Got a few DVRs dotted around.

Most security camera systems are fairly easy to install especially if you have a good it setup as you can then just get IP cameras.

We've just installed 10 Ubiquiti IP cameras. Quick and easy to do, and the software to manage and record footage is free from their website. Total cost around £1,000, although we had already got the network wiring and PoE switches in place.
