Retrofit XB1 Analog Sticks on a Dualshock 4

This may be old news, but I only found this out today so thought I'd share. It turns out that the analog sticks used in PS4/XB1 have identical internal fittings, making them interchangeable.

 

 

Now, if only somebody would make an XB1 style pad for the PS4!

 

I know you can use an XB1 pad with a PS4 using a device like the CronusMAX, but I'd love someone to make a fully functional PS4 pad (i.e. with touch pad and LED) with similar ergonomics to the XB1 pad. In fact, I've been wondering how difficult this would be with access to a 3D printer...

Just as a little update - I've got to say, I much prefer using the ad with XB1 sticks. I'll be doing this simple mod to all my DS4s in future.

 

As a side note, I got 2 pads at the same time as my PS4 in November; the rubber on the unmodified pad is wearing off already, and it sees very little use, especially since I modded one of the pads as we all prefer using the modified one!
