Some of the web's biggest companies have been paying to get around Adblock Plus, according to a new report from Financial Times. Microsoft's Bing search ads and Taboola's "recommended links" box are among the ads that are currently slipping through Adblock Plus's filter, and FT confirms that it's the intentional result of a paid deal between the makers of Adblock and the owners of the ads. HAHAHA! The Verge think this is news? AdBlock state their program allows ads through if they meet certain criteria and everyone knows payments happen between ad bureaus and AdBlock. There is even a spin-off extension Adblock Edge that omits the whitelist entirely!

 

Such a cr*p news outlet. They just lift a piece of old news off another site for clicks. Probably because they get advertisement revenue from their own clickbait trash.
