difinity Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 There Kingston SSD is a bit weak compared to others. UserBenchmark: Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB vs Samsung 840 Evo
Arthur Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) Link: www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers/intel-haswell-pc/ 1st HDD 120GB Kingston V300 SSD (6Gb/s) Ditch this and choose the 250GB Samsung 850 EVO. As @difinity mentioned, the V300 is junk. Processor Cooler Corsair H60 Hydro Series Performance Cooler Get the H80i. See link below for the reason. www.anandtech.com/show/6530/closing-the-loop-contained-liquidcoolers-from-corsair-and-nzxt-compared/6 Anti-virus Bullguard Internet Security (Free 90 Day Trial) Bullguard isn't particularly great. Choose the "No anti-virus software" option and download Bitdefender Free or buy ESET NOD32 when you receive the PC. The only thing I would do is put Windows7 pro 64bit on it A better option IMO would be to keep Windows 8.1 on it and install Classic Shell if you must have an old-school Start Menu. The OS itself uses less RAM than Windows 7 so you'll end up with more available for your video/photo editing and games. Edited January 21, 2015 by Arthur
