CGower Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I cannot get iOS 8.1.2 to download or install.... It lets me agree but then it says software update failed. What do I do?
CGower Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 wireless - fine via iTunes - but I have loads of pads to upgrade - was working fine beginning of last week,
CGower Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 click on "Download and Install" - you get the pop up to "Agree" to terms and conditions, select agree. For half a second it says downloading and then a box that states "Software Update Failed, an error occurred in downloading iOS 8.1.2" - then you can select "close" or "settings".. neither do anything. Current version is 7.1.2
MrPstv Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 We used to have this issue. Proxy problem with multiple wireless updates. We temporarily used an ip address from internet/firewall provider and eventually our internet/firewall provider changed the firewall rules to accept traffic from the Apple servers. Always worked fine when hooked upto a pc/laptop. This may not be the same in your case.
