contink Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Bit of an odd one this... I had a workstation go a little whappy on me today with lock ups happening all over the place.. I originally figured it was RAM problems only to discover that the hard drive was very hot to touch (as in "ouch!"). The drive was overheating despite being in full contact with the rest of the case and using that as a heatsink so I'm guessing something had shorted and was causing it to overheat... Anyone else seen this?
gwendes Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Lots of times - I would replace it if there is plenty of space around the drive.
