TechSupp Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 We have just had to provide a laptop for a pupil and before we let it go, was wondering if anyone would like to share their documentation they get the parents/pupils to sign before they take ownership. The pupil will eventually keep the laptop. Does anyone letting pupils have laptops monitor what the pupils do with them away from school and if so how?
Dkeen94 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 We have had one laptop go out on pupil premium for a student here, we devised a "Laptop Loan Agreement" for the student in which the legal guardian or parent comes into sign to say that these rules will be upheld. If you would like i could send you the rules we set out in our loan agreement?
Joanne Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Yeah draw up a quick document saying that the laptop will be used for school work and research only. Any damage to the laptop will have to be paid for by parents etc etc. Data should be backed up by pupil. Cannot guarantee data recovery if hard drive fails or if it gets a virus. Any warranty fault, laptop should be brought back into school and repair to be arranged by IT staff.... that sort of stuff
