Has anyone seen the news on this. Word has it the gdrive will have unlimited storage space.

Same here. My girlfriends broadband has a 5gig/month data transfer limit so it would not be practical for us at all. Anyway I have a 100 gig USB drive for all my important files that I need to take with me.
