Catchment area software

Not sure what forum to stick this post.

 

We are an all through academy school. the admissions staff on the Primary side have asked if there is any software where they can measure with accuracy the distance from door to door (as the crow flies) from applications for places.

They are getting cases with next door neighbours disputing who is closer to the school.

They have gone to the local authority who will not help as we are an academy.

 

An 'on screen ruler' with google maps is not good enough apparently in cases of disputes.

 

I have poked around google but not much luck so far.
