penfold Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I'm trying to get a couple of different setups for installing Office as I want to have one for installing Powerpoint and one for installing our default staff one. I can create the config file but I can't see how I can have 1 copy of the software but then tell it to use a specific config file. The only way I can see is to create 2 seperate copies of the install files which can then use a config file each. I thought I could do it with a command prompt install but I must be missing something right?
XiJ Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I have a batch script that was available on the net to deploy office from group policy. I'm going to have a config file for each of my schools (and in one school I have an admin install and a curriculum install) It's just a matter of changing a line in the script after you have created a seperate .mst I can find the script later for you?
penfold Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 I've just created a bat file with "setup.exe /adminfile " located in the default setup directory which looks like it has done the trick.
