fiza Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 When students log into Chrome they get : Link your Chrome data to this account? This account is managed by ourschool.org.uk You are signing in with a managed account and giving its administrator control over your Google Chrome Profile. Blah blah blah...... Once they "Link Data" it should be linked for always but when they next log onto a machine with their account it asks again. We have roaming profiles here so I thought that chrome would store this data in their profile but it obviously doesn't. Can I change it so it does so then they have Linked data wherever they log in at school?
fiza Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 bumping my old thread here as we still have the same issue. Anyone know of how to achieve this? The only solution I found crashes Chrome apparently so not much of a solution! [FIXED] Google Chrome user settings with roaming profiles and environmental variables | blog.samkendall.net
Bradlys Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) It should only re-ask if you logon to another account on the machine? Try having a look with the chrome files, there might be a config file that has a local Appdata path stored which for some reason would bypass the Roaming profile? Personally, I've not used this. But I know Chrome has some GPO policies which might be the solution? https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/187202?hl=en I've also found this: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/tIDBnm4YnL4 Edited January 16, 2015 by Bradlys
