Cannot reboot server from CD Rom

model : HP ProLiant ML370 G4 Server

problem : cannot reboot from CD ROM even i have change reboot partition and CD ROM hardware

 

any suggestion for my problem?

Can you give us a little more information please?

What operating system is the server running?

Why are you trying to boot from the CD?

What happens when you try? What error messages do you get?

now the server use Window server 2003 R2

i want install new OS (window server 2003 RS --> W7)

i have change boot order which is CD ROM at the top ... the message "press any key " didnt show up

If the server has a CD-ROM drive you're not going to be able to boot any DVDs because it won't be able to read them.

 

If you have a spare USB flash drive, I would use Rufus to create a bootable USB drive from the Windows 7 ISO.

As Arthur has said, does your server have a DVD drive? The disk will be a DVD and CD drives cannot read them.

 

His suggestion to create a bootable USB drive is a good one.
