Senior IT Technician - Surrey £25,000 - £30,000

A leading private school in Surrey is seeking an experienced Senior IT Technician to provide end user support and maintenance of existing systems and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in IT systems including a mixture of server 2008 to 2012R2, Windows 7, SQL Server, Office, HyperV, wireless, whiteboards, networking, switches, cables, routers, large network printers etc., ideally in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Provide second/third line IT Support as needed.
  
• Support the users to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and WiFi connectivity issues.
  
• Ensure the school IT facilities are fully operational at all times.
  
• Administration of windows 2008/2012R2 servers & windows 7/8 desktops and laptops
  
• Exchange and group policy management
  
• Virtual server management
  
• Participate in backup policies, procedures and maintenance
  
• Managing the internal documentation and support knowledgebase.
  
• Installation, deployment and maintenance of computer hardware including servers
  

Salary £25,000 - £30,000
