RabbieBurns Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Ive got our staff and students logging in to the domain, and their home folder is mounting OK and adding itself to the Dock. This is working well, however it seems as a side effect (feature?) to also put an icon on the desktop showing the parent share. This is a problem because the staff and students can then go in and look at all the usernames of the other users. (obviously they cant access the other folders). Is there a way to stop this parent share showing on the desktop? Or do I have to just modify the NTFS perms to stop them from being able to view the other folders.
