Grrrr Apple Configurator

Been meaning to ask this for a while... Why is it whenever I connect a brand new iPad to Apple Configurator, Configurator wants to blitz the device... Surely this can be avoided?

 

I'm likely being thick, so please help a frustrated tech.

You've got Supervise mode turned on....

Sorry should have explained better, is there any way I can push out the 7.2.1 firmware from the local host, rather than downloading from the internet?

Or you can go here....Download Firmware (IPSW) Files for iOS Devices to download the firmware, then you would click the devices menu in Configurator which gives you the ability to look for the custom iOS firmware you previously downloaded.
