Quackers Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 We have had it 3-4 years now and I'm starting to see some AP's become temperamental. We have 7363's . We will see extremely dire throughput , dropped packets when pinging. This can be on CH 1,6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz, if we then swap the AP for another the problems go away. Just wondering if anybody else who has had Ruckus for years is starting to have any failures AP wise?
Dragon Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Had them since 2011 and still OK, don't forget 7363 are EOL soon. So if they are faulty get them replaced asap!
Haptic Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 We've not noticed any particular degradation or increase in support cases on legacy deployments, indeed i was speaking to a site this week running 7942's and a ZD1000that we'd deployed in 2009 without issue. Have there been any wired network changes recently or has this been a gradually evolving issue? Worth having a chat with your original reseller on it if you are certain it is a Ruckus specific issue, if they aren't proving helpful drop me a PM and i'll see what we can do for you. Mark
TechSupp Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 We only had it a couple of Yeats now and had some performance issues but after speaking to Ruckus online support ( who were very helpful) we went to the latest stable firmware they suggested and was much better afterwards.
