Offline Android Games

I'm looking for some android games which I can use whilst I am out and about travelling where I won't have access to the internet. I'm looking for any suggestions for good games which may entertain for a bit. I quite like puzzle games and I've played Jewel Quest and some other game similar to angry birds and I did play the Simpsons for a while (but lost interest when it needed access and I didn't have a signal). They have been fine for small blasts when you have 5 mins etc but I'm looking for either a few of these games or a game which will hold my attention for longer. I am looking at getting them for my phone, but I also have a nexus (which the wife currently has hold of) so if I could sync the games when I get access to Wifi that would be OK but it would need to have the ability to play offline.

 

Can anyone suggest anything..I don't mind paying if it's good s long as it's not too much.

I got Carmageddon, Crazy Taxi, and Revolt all for free, none of them need an internet connection once they have been opened for the first time to download extra data.

I'm currently obsessed with Mad Skills Motorcross 2. It's offline and completely free. Great little pick up and play game.
