mdrabble Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Brain on the fritz, run out of coffee, I hot and I'm generally in a cranky mood. I'm looking at importing staff timetables in to their exchange calendars for next year - mainly for SLT staff but might as well do for all staff. I'm looking at nb development - SIMS.net to Exchange because Salamander does over and above what I need. All looks straight forward.... but due to being brain dead... no coffee..... heat...) I've looked at Configure Exchange Server 2010 Impersonation and I looked blankly at New-ManagementRoleAssignment -Name -Role applicationImpersonation -User I'm assuming can be any name I want. The is ???????????? Could someone please clarify the <> options for me please. Thanks Mark
rpwillis Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Name is just a friendly name for the role assignment, so can be any name you want. It is optional, but I'd recommend using it so you can easily figure out what it is when using Get-ManagementRoleAssignment or remove it easily. Service Account is the account that you want to get the role assignment to i.e. the user the tool will be connecting as.
