rasnii Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Good Afternoon all, After weeks of back and forth with different companies I have advised senior management on the company to select for our IT infrastructure work this summer which includes new fibre runs and converting a couple of classrooms to IT suites. I have been asked to put together a report explaining why that particular company etc. I have not done anything like that before and would like help from the anyone on how to produce such a report ie format, what to include etc. Is there a template for such a report? Any help very much appreciated. Thank you.
plexer Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Presumably you gave all of these companies a spec to quote to? if they have all quoted for the same materials and someone comes out cheaper then that makes it easier if not you can use the prices as one part of your report and also the companies references prior work especially on-site if any. Really doesn't need to be any longer than a single side of A4 for this. Ben 1
tj2419 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I would split it under the following headings (or similar) Project Aim/Scope Brief outline of job in total. Basically what you sent / discussed with the companies you wanted. Companies Consulted Brief details of each of the companies you consulted and their quote. Choice of Supplier This would include things like cost, previous dealings, availability, recommendations, equipment / supplier used by company and any other reasons you chose them to be the supplier. 1
