hey ppl, I've have 'My Documents' redirected to a network drive. In Windows explorer's path window, if I go back a few levels I and other users can see and access other users folders. pic4.jpg I would like for only that logged on user to view only their folders and not all other user's folders. It's been a while since I've encountered this problem but I believe it was a permissions issue..??? Any help on this is appreciated ;)

Are you a domain admin? Then I would hazard a guess it's a good move for you to be able to see through the tree. What status are the other users?

It will be down to permissions. What do you currently have set?

NTFS permissions on each users folder should generally only grant access to the specific user and the Domain Admins group, at least that's all ours have. If you have used a security group such as 'Staff' and passed that permission down from the root then yes, they will be able to access everybody elses folder.

Another way around it that we use is to share each individual users area, rather than having a root share. So \\server\userA$ \\server\userB$ etc
