Can't access Mac share after Power Outage

Hey ppl, we have one Mac server in a predominantly Windows network. One user with Windows 7 had a shortcut on her desktop pointing to the Mac share i.e.; \\\Sharename. She was able to access that folder but over the weekend we had a power outage and several servers rebooted including the Mac server. Not sure what changed if anything on the Mac end. I tried accessing the same folder from the Mac workstations and I can with no problem. So Mac users can access and Windows users CANNOT. I'm not sure what to check on the Mac server side. Any help on this is appreciated.

Sounds strange to me. Are you accessing the share using the SMB protocol on both the Macs and Windows? If you are accessing it as AFP on the Macs and SMB on Windows then you might need to check that it is still shared over SMB. You might also try propagating permissions on the share as well.

 

On a side note, why are you using a desktop shortcut for this share on the PCs? Why don't you just map it like you would any other share using a GPO or login script? This works just fine.
