Office 365 Sharepoint Users

Currently testing Office 365 in my school I have however hit a brick wall with SharePoint. All users successfully imported to Office 365 from AD, user assigned a license in office 365 to use SharePoint. Within SharePoint admin whenever I click to assign users none are available to choose from within the Select People dialogue, for example when trying to create a new site collection.

 

Within User Profiles -> Manage User Profiles, at the top of the page it says "Total number of profiles:5" yet none appear in the list?

 

Any help greatly appreciated. I suspect I am doing something stupid.
