Large maintained secondary school in the shadow of the City of London requires a network manager to look after a large IT estate including @ 1500 machines, 30 servers and a host of education technology network and server technologies including SIMS SQL, exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, MS SQL and virtual learning environments.

You will be technically responsible for the entire network and ideally have some people management skills as you will be leading a small team of 3 in delivering the very best service to its users and staff. You will be able to drive strategic planning, maintain an overall view of the state of the infrastructure, provide technical guidance to staff and oversee the support desk.

This role would be ideal for someone who wants to progress their career from assistant network manager or senior systems admin into whole network management.

Information systems, procurement, performance management, documentation, disaster recovery, commissioning etc are all good knowledge and skills to have but technical ability is crucial
