Koldov Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Hi, Our admin is trying to run Routines - Data In - Assessment - Import She is being asked to browse to: C:\program files\SIMS\SIMS.net\AMPA\England Primary\assessment manager\key stage 2 wizard England 2014.xml But gets an access denied message. This has to be done by tomorrow! Apparently it is a yearly thing, but since last year, I have moved SIMS to a new server and admin have all had new Windows 7 machines, so I don't have a clue where to start troubleshooting. They are not administrators on their machine, but I don't understand why it is asking for access to C:\Program Files as we run SIMS off the server... Any help please? Kol.
MrMat Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 They just don't have access to the XML file so they can't import the wizard. Within the SIMS.net folder lies the AMPA folder which contains all the wizards. If they don't have SIMS installed locally each machine, then it's referring to the Program Files on the server i would presume (probably uses the path within your SIMS.ini file). Easily resolved though providing you're administrator, log into SIMS and import the wizards for them. It only needs to be done once. 1
Banjo Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 This only has to be done once (per year), and it can be done by any member of staff, on any machine/server, with access to the C: drive. Logon your self to the PC and then let them log into SIMS and import the Wizards, KS1, KS2, EYFSP and Phonics (new version due end of the month) 1
