Mr_Jiminy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Folks can google apps for edu be configured to disable email for specific users, or is this feature either on/off across board? Ideally I'd like to keep key users like myself with email, however only use google drive functionality for staff. Also... Can a password timeout be configured? I'm unable to find a password policy section.
Mr_Jiminy Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Ok ignore the disable email facility, this has now been resolved. Still unsure about the password policy.
ADMaster Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Hello, The email can be solved by using OU’s which it sounds like you’ve done now. Google does not have a password expiration feature. They do have a password policy section to set the minimum password length. See attached. If anyone knows of a way for google to expire passwords I’d like to hear about it too. Cheers,
Mr_Jiminy Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Yes thanks sussed it, thanks for the response anyway. Shame about the password expiration, fingers crossed they provide this feature in future.
Wiebbe Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I think Google tries to put people into two-form authentication rather then changing their passwords often. Still, the option would be a good idea. There is an option to force people to change their password at the next logon. Perhaps that could be used in a script with GAM?
