Hi,

I am trying to created a Windows 8.1 Enterprise (with update 1) x64 image with SCCM 2012 R2.

I run the build and capture task sequence and creates a sysprep'ed base Windows 8.1 wim file.

When I deploy this, it runs through the task sequence fine, but when I log in the start screen and programs are blank.

Any one seen this? What am I doing wrong?

I have created a Windows 7 image using the same process and it works great.

Thanks

Gareth

Do you have roaming profiles?

We had an issue where staff would log into Windows 8 machines where the profile linked to their AD account was created in Windows 7. This caused errors when logging in as well as no access.

Yeah I thought it could be Group Policy, Folder redirection etc, but it does it to local users as well...

Deployed a task sequence using the install.wim from the DVD and I don't have the issue... works! Strange one?

Cheers

Do you have any programs installing as part of the build. WorldWide Telescope for instance kills a W8.1 install if it is deployed via msi to the image.
